Amy Winehouse Hospitalized After Suffering a “Reaction to Medication”

Amy Winehouse was reportedly rushed to the hospital after a “crazy scene” at her home in London. She was hidden by a red blanket and transported to a waiting ambulance by a wheelchair. Police arrived to the scene to help Amy’s father Mitch block the view of paparazzi with a sheet to prevent the photographers getting shots of her. The troubled singer was taken to the accident and emergency unit of the University College hospital in North West London.
Amy’s rep, Chris Goodman claimed the singer became ill after suffering “a reaction to medication” after being diagnosed with traces of deadly lung disease emphysema in June (08). He explained:
“She was taking a new (medication) as part of her anti-drug treatment program. And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one.”
However, reports suggest Amy has found a lump in her breast, according to Contact Music. Test results have shown the lump is benign, but what a scare for her.
It’s hard to figure out what reports are accurate because there are so many stories about Amy’s health, but let’s just hope she’s going to be alright. Miss Wino was released from the hospital Tuesday morning.
