Rap Wars: Ice T vs. Soulja Boy!
Ice T and Soulja Boy are having an all-out rap battle. Instead of East Coast vs. West Coast, though, it’s a battle of good rap vs. crappy rap!
First, Ice T made this comment about Soulja and Hurricane Chris:
F*** Soulja Boy! Eat a d***! This n***** single handedly killed Hip Hop. That s*** is such garbage man. We came all the way from Rakim, we came all the way from Das EFX, we came all the way from motherf******* flowing like Big Daddy Kane and Ice Cube, and you come with that Superman s***? That s*** is garbage. Hurricane (Chris) take them f***** beads out of your hair n****! Man up. You n***** is making me feel real f***** mad about this s***.”
Wow, doesn’t Ice T have such a colorful vocabulary?
Soulja Boy, not to be outdone, has responded. His best comeback? “You’re old”.

I think Ice T Has a good point though. Soulja Boys music has forced thousands to stop listening to the radio, (Like me myself.). I mean, who wants to hear YAHH TRICK YAHH, all day, or YYYOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLL!!!!!!. What Ice T is saying is that soulja boy needs to quit with them meaningless lyrics. Just check out how many people on youtube agree and commented on his video. Many were mad, and told him to quit Hip-Hop, or should i say Kids Bop. Ice-t cleary won this.
All I really have to say, (after wasting about 2 minutes of my life just now), is that in 1958, when Ice T was apparently born, video cameras had been invented. Not digitally, but there were cameras to record movies, interviews, TV, all that. Soulja boy apparently thinks otherwise. So..yeah…it may be a new day and age, with new music and sounds, but some things like knowing your history and why we have the technology we have today should be noted. Ice T maybe didn’t need to come out swinging how he did, but the truth is, if Soulja boy can make millions today, but doesn’t know that cameras were around in the 50’s, how much do I really want to listen to him rant, let alone listen to him?
Finally….someone says it…soulja boy is nothing but pure trash. True, Ice T hasn’t been in the game for a while, but OG’s still know what they are talking about. If soulja boy had songs that actually meant something instead of just “yyyyyyooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuu” though half the track, he might mean something, but I don’t think he is capable of making a good song, let alone a classic.
Soulja boy is fukin wack! sooner or later he’ll go broke wit his annoyin muzik. This muthafucka has like half a eyebrow and he’s all skin and bones. He looks like a fukin cancer patient! For realz, get yo shit right and stop actin like u a beast!
Ice T need to shut up and sit his ancient down somewhere! He just trying to think of some way to help sell some of his lame records. Just like Soulja Boy said, if you think he killed hip hop, try to revive it.
A part of the history of rap is appreciating different genres of music that is incorporated. Obviously the regional wrap music is going to differ (east coast, west coast and southern rap. All have their place in society. I may not necessarily like a particular type of rap, however I’m not going to say that its “Stupid or BS”. It just isn’t my fourte’. It was rude and down right immature for Ice T to respond to Souja Boy the way that he did. He’s an adult and he should be very embarrassed bashing a 17 year old boy for his taste in music. God gives us all talents and we use it the best way we know how. We get new artist each year because they bring something new, different, and dynamic to the scene. That’s why rap is everchanging. As such, artist must adapt. If they don’t then they’ll end up in a “has been” Soulja Boy brought something fun, ecletic and youthful to the industry. As such, he wouldn’t be an artist if people didn’t embrace him and his music. We have to give credit where credit is due. He sold 1.5 million albums in an age of internet downloads and bootleggers. Instead of tearing each other down as a people, we need to celebrate the fact that the brotha is doing something positive. Sometimes I get tired of hearing about “my car, my baby momma, how much crack I used to sell, how much extascy I took , what B@!*h I brought home last night.” So it’s fun to hear a song that’s very youthful that reminds us that we aren’t too old to have fun and a song that the kids can jam too.
I do not think children should listen to that song. Do you know what the song represents? The contexts of this particular reference has been said to me to mean the following:
1. superman a ho = A male does a female (ho) in the butt and pulls out in time to ejaculate on her back. Then allows the ho to roll over and fall asleep on her back. The next morning the sheets will be stuck to her back like superman’s cape. Resulting in a superman ho!

I love freedom of expression and I think that everyone should have the right to create whatever they feel. However it is up to the mindless masses that seem to make the dumbest of music into incredible hits because they do not care about the quality of the music that are being shoveled at them so carelessly and unconsciously. So the youth of today think that it is cool or hip to listen too super stupid babble about nothing or about the most obscene and degrading things that record companies call music.
Um… ICE-tis a grown man who does not need to be coming on that strong to two teengae boys who are jst out there trying t make music. No matter how degrading music is, a 40 something year old has-been wannabe legend does not need to cuss out two young men trying to do what they want with their music.
