Katy Perry: Christian Singer?
Katy Perry, singer of the hit songs “I Kissed a Girl” and “UR So Gay”, used to be a Christian singer.
The above video is from 2001. The song is a Christian track called “Faith Won’t Fail,” sung by a 16-year-old girl named Katy Hudson. Hudson changed her name later to Perry (too easily confused with Kate Hudson?) Her parents are both conservative preachers, and so I’m sure they’re not too excited about where her new path has taken her!
I’m really happy Katy got out of the Christian music genre. Where would we be without the drunk sorority song “I Kissed a Girl,” the metrosexual anthem “UR So Gay” and “Hot N Cold”?

Not a great thing. I think she will regret her decision to abandon her Christian roots after the fame (and all the drugs/scandals/etc. that come with it) have made a mess of her life.
I think u guys need to stop judging ANYBODY. Everyone at one point runs away from God. It is our human nature to run away and to doubt anything that is something out of this world, godly, if you will. I think that one day, Katy will realize what she has done wrong one day, and God will be there to pick up the pieces. I for one, will pray for Katy Perry, and hope she comes back to God and she may lose fans, but if it were me, I would rather lose fans than lose the one and only God who ♥s her for the way she is and will still accept her. Katy, I know you don’t need to be preached to, but I think it is a mistake.
I think it won’t be long before her time runs short on this earth because this is a smack in the face to God.
If you want to turn from God that is your business but you dare not place yourself in a position of influence and send others straight to hell with you. That is where we should draw the line.
This is not judging her just speaking the truth. She has no covering or protection living on this earth any longer. Bad things will happen to her that we wont see with our own eyes, until she repents (Turns away from that lifestyle and way of thinking)

i think shes beautiful. personally i dont like her music but God still loves her and wants nothing more then to be with her.
God is not an exclusive property of the Christian faith.God is the One source of all creation,and loves everyone.Katy Perry,and all of us,will be fine,no matter what.

On that logic,all the ‘bad people’ should be dead. So technically no body should be alive. Saying things like that is coming very close to medieval ideals and the Crusades. If you don’t know what i’m talking about, research it.

i agree. we need to quit speaking for God. and we need to quit judging. All of you who are christians and posting these comments condeming this girl to hell shouldn’t be so quick to point the finger. God ALSO said not to judge others. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.
I don’t care what everyone says about don’t judge, we are not to judge others. We are to point out that certain things are absolutely against God and His Word. I get angered not just by what she’s done but by Christians that are like “who are we to judge”, and they just kinda don’t really care!
Are you kidding!? Katy Perry/ Hudson is still conservative. Just listen to her lyrics. “I kissed a girl and i liked it “-” “its not what good girls do”. It sounds like she is stucked in the 50′ths
