David Archuleta Gushes About His Crazy Papa

“For Father’s Day my dad, a friend of ours and I went to Soup Plantation for lunch haha. I actually really liked the food there. We also had enough time in the day to go to church before the schedule started and lunch so that was neat to be able to do. Thanks everyone for wishing my dad a happy Father’s Day. I really appreciate that and I know he does as well. He’s been great so I’m glad you guys took time to send him your messages. Hope everyone else’s dads had a great time too!”
As mentioned before, David’s father Jeff pissed off Idol producers when he insisted his son change the lyrics to “Stand By Me” to include a verse from Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls.” All of his interfering caused him to lose his backstage pass. However, Us magazine reported that Daddy Archuleta told them he’s “no stage dad.”
Well, we believe him, don’t we? He’s great like David says.
