Bill O’Reilly Calls Jessica Simpson a Patriot
Yesterday, it was mentioned here that PETA pointed out Jessica Simpson is stupid for wearing a shirt that says “Real Girls Eat Meat” and now Bill O’Reilly is calling her a patriot for doing so. What an ass. That man annoys me to no end.
Who knows why Jessica wore a dumb shirt like that? It’s just so happens that her boyfriend, Tony Romo’s ex-girlfriend former American Idol Carrie Underwood is a vegetarian. Go Carrie!

I can’t stand Bill O’Reilly, but he wasn’t praising Simpson’s patriotism for eating meat, but for standing up to the PC-police (whoever they are!)
Of course, O’Reilly only defends the rights of people to speak out when they are speaking out about something he agrees with. It is not her decision to be omnivorous, but her willingness to stand up to criticism that he equates with patriotism.
In other words, this accusation against him is bunk.

That’s what really bugged the crap out of me when I saw the clip… She’s only a patriot because she is taking a stand against the PC-Police on something he likes… Which is fine, everybody does that I guess, but there are people out there who are actually influenced by what O’Reilly says…

You do realize that bill was saying her standing up to peta makes her a patriot, not her wearing that t-shirt. Give it a break already.
No, don’t give it a break. Standing up to PETA and patriotism have ZERO relationship. Eating meat has nothing to do with loving a country, and disagreeing with someone who is trying to change opinions about something is also not patriotic. All this is is Bill O’Reilly trying to create a connection between what he thinks is right and loving America - meaning if you disagree, you hate America. It is disgusting. Again - disagreeing with an advocacy group whose purpose is to treat animals or not, and doing it by simply wearing a stupid T-shirt, has nothing to do with patriotism!
Anyone “influenced” by Bill O’Reilly’s monotonous harrangues needs to find something better to do than sit in front of a tube showcasing a boob. It’s not his positions I find obnoxious, it’s his smug delivery of cherry-picked grievences that educates no one and adds nothing to real consideration of issues.
You’ve all been duped. Those 22 seconds were not about meat, PETA, or patriots. It was about boosting ratings by catching all the surfers who will freeze in their tracks at the sight of Jessica Simpson in a tight T-shirt.
