Sydney Pollack Loses Battle with Cancer at Age 73

Oscar-winning director, Sydney Pollack reportedly died of cancer on Monday, May 26, 2008. He directed hit movies such as: The Way We Were, Out of Africa, Tootsie, and The Interpreter. He worked with Hollywood actors: Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Dustin Hoffman, and Nicole Kidman.

The legendary director passed away in Pacific Palisades with his family by his side accordint to Variety magazine.

Rest in peace Sydney. Thank you for the great movies I’ve enjoyed over the years.
