Rod Stewart is Pissed He’s Not Allowed to do Country

Rod Stewart is pissed at the music label execs for refusing to allow him to do a country-inspired album. He wanted to record country classics for a new album but bosses at J Records blocked that decision. He said:

“Everybody there (at J Records) is against that, which makes me want to do it even more. Apparently, the idea didn’t test well, whatever the f**k that means.”

Stewart explained:

“I want to do records for my own peace of mind. So when I do kick the bucket (die), I can say, ‘I did that.’”

Too bad Clive Davis refused. He said:

“Clive Davis wanted a Christmas album but I’m not into that so much.”

I don’t blame him for not wanting to do a Christmas album. If the legendary rocker wants to do some country songs, why not just let him do it? He has enough fans to sell to who’ll probably buy anything he makes.
