The finale for American Idol Season 7 had some great special guests:

• Dancers from So You Think You Can Dance - they were actually more enjoyable to watch than the Top 12 Idol wannabes singing…wish the camera showed them a little more.
• Mike Myers as Guru Pitka
• Seal who performed with Syesha Mercado
• Donna Summer sang with the Top 6 girls - it was hilarious watching Amanda Overmyer yell again, however, Donna Summer can still really sing.
• Bryan Adams sang with the Top 6 guys - I enjoyed watching my fave Michael Johns open the song because he looked hot!
• ZZ Top performed with David Cook - they rocked!
• Graham Nash from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY)sang “Teach Your Children” with Brooke White. Surprisingly, she wasn’t as annoying as she normally is.
• One Republic performed “Apologize” with David Archuleta - it was nice, but the poor little puppy was overshadowed.
• Apparently Jordin Sparks has healed from her throat problems. Too bad she didn’t sound very good.
• Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr. were backup dancers to vintage Gladys Knight were funny.
• Carrie Underwood was ok.
• The Top 12 opened up with George Michael, but thankfully they didn’t sing with him.

The new American Idol is…

Yay! David Cook, someone who really deserved to win, actually did! Let’s just hope he doesn’t have to perform too much of the Idol crap and can put out some good stuff. Congrats to David!
