American Idol 7 Elimination Results May 7, 2008

Tonight, the Top 4 opened the show with pathetic performances. One could see better productions in a high school theater almost anywhere. I’m not sure why the producers want to fill that time with that because it doesn’t help the performers any to be embarrassed in that manner because the choreography looked like it was put together an hour beforehand.

As soon as I heard a few notes of the Beatles “Come Together,” I was terrified because I don’t think I could endure hearing the American Idol contestants butcher the Beatles again. Ryan Seacrest almost made me choke when he started comparing the Fab Four to the American Idol Top 4. EW! How dare he! I guess he just wanted to connect the Idol wannabes to their experience of being flown to Las Vegas to watch the LOVE Cirque du Soleil and meet the performers backstage.

The special guests were: Maroon 5 and Bo Bice. They were both okay, nothing special. Adam Levine was lookin’ pretty hot though!

The bottom two Idol wannabes were:

  • Syesha Mercado
  • Jason Castro

And the contestant to get the boot was…

Aw, poor Jason! I really like him. He didn’t perform very well the past few weeks, but I still find him enjoyable to watch anyway. But someone had to go and so it’s basically down to the two Davids. Syesha should be proud of herself to make it to the Top 3 - I certainly didn’t think it would’ve happened.

Awww. I liked Jason. I thought that he is one of the singers that has soul. I love Bab Marley and I think that America has a select few people who enjoy what I term “hippie music”. I am one of those people and I would have loved to see Jason win due to his artistry and ability to be different.
