Not much is too much when it comes to Suri Cruise. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes reportedly spent $100,000 on Suri’s 2nd birthday party which was held on April 18, 2008. I guess Chuck E. Cheese was out of the question?

Tom and Katie invited close friends and family to their Hollywood Hills home which was filled with flowers that cost an estimated $17,000.

Since Suri loves butterflies, that was the natural theme of the party. A source said:

“Suri adores butterflies. It was immediate family and their closest friends only. There were no celebrities invited to the daytime bash.”

Fortunately for Tom and Nicole’s kids, they were allowed to attend though and were said to be treated to a personalized cake from exclusive Los Angeles bakery Sweet Lady Jane which was made for each guest. The source added:

“All of the cakes were Italian-wedding flavoured, but specifically made without the usual rum. Obviously, they wanted them non-alcoholic since Suri is only two.”

I guess they wanted to avoid a scandal if the press had found out they were boozing up their kids by feeding them the cake as its originally made.

Tom and Katie made time for their celeb friends though because later that evening, David and Victoria Beckham, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and Eva Longoria Parker were invited to a second celebration. Aw, how nice two separate parties for Suri!
