Janet Jackson Slams Young Gay Men for Unsafe Sex
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comJanet Jackson has reportedly slammed young gay guys for being “careless” for refusing to listen to warnings about AIDS and practice safe sex. Janet believes many homosexual young men act as though the AIDS epidemic is over. She told Eonline.com:
“They’re being a little too… careless.”
I agree with Janet to a point. It’s true that many young gay guys are probably having sex without taking precaution, however, SO many young straight people are doing the same thing too. Well, let’s just say that too many people in general aren’t careful enough when trying to prevent STDs because they’re either unprepared or just allow themselves to get caught up in the heat of the moment. Many believe one time without condoms isn’t that big of a risk.

Like condoms even WORK well. They help prevent HIV, but not much else. The only two solutions are abstinence (doesn’t work) or actually knowing your frigging partner.

Everyone needs to be careful nowadays, but statistics show decreased use of condoms among young gay men and then they do very unsafe sexual practices. There have also been reported drug resistant forms of syphyllus in this community (SF and LA), neuro forms that attack the brain and cause disease induced dementia. Not fun, not sexy, scary to even contemplate.
BE SAFE. WEAR AND INSIST ON CONDOMS. Just keep them in all your wallets, jackets, etc. If you don’t have them WAIT. AIDS lasts a lifetime.

Are you people deluded? OF COURSE she should specify gay men. In the U.S., there are MANY, MANY more cases of HIV infection in gay men than in any other group. Stomping your foot and crying to Momma isn’t going to change that fact. Janet is absolutely right about this, and she probably knows because she’s: 1) in entertainment, where there are many gays, 2) a gay icon who probably has millions of gay in her fan-base, not to mention in her entourage, and 3) is a dancer whose dance crew are probably 99.9% gay males.
I see this myself at the clubs. If a guy is under 30, he never even CONSIDERS thinking about HIV. Bush got rid of any trace of the conversation in the public eye, and the AIDS cocktails gave people a false sense of security. We’re going to see another surge in the epidemic as a result of you morons who won’t get educated and be safe.
