Derek Hough Didn’t Mean to Offend Anyone with his Hissy Fit
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comAfter throwing an embarrassing hissy fit last week backstage, Derek Hough insists he didn’t mean to offend anyone. Apparently, he was caught up in the moment after his dancing partner Shannon Elizabeth started sobbing when she received criticism from the Dancing with the Stars judges and began slamming his fellow competitors for getting higher scores with flawed performances. He explained to People:
“We were heated and we got up in the moment and that’s really not my character. I regret it a little because it wasn’t intended for the competitors, so I regret that I may have offended them a little. I spoke to the competitors and apologized, and a few of them said I said what they were all thinking and not to worry about it.”
The few who might’ve said not to worry were probably just trying to being polite.
Shannon Elizabeth said:
“We let our emotions get the best of us. We’re going to do our dances this week for the fans and not the judges, and we’re going to focus on having a good time. Whatever the judges want to give us, they give us.”
Hough also hinted that he and his partner are “taking the dances a little too seriously.”
Oh really? No one noticed!
I really can’t stand Shannon Elizabeth for crying over every little comment and after Derek’s hissy fit, I’m not too impressed with him either. As a professional, he should’ve known better not to slam the other people for the scores the judges gave them, especially on camera. Oooh, I hope they get the boot next week.
