A 35-year-old woman in Kansas is reportedly being treated for a skin infection after she was stuck to her toilet seat. Apparently, she refused to leave her boyfriend’s bathroom for two years and her skin bonded to the seat. Her boyfriend said that she lived in fear and wouldn’t leave so he brought her food and water, trying to convince her to leave.

She’s now being treated for a skin infection and is receiving mental help. Doctors say her condition is fair but she’ll need a wheelchair once she’s ready to be released.

Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said police found the clothed woman sitting on the toilet, her sweat pants down to mid-thigh. She was “somewhat disoriented,” and her legs looked like they had atrophied. Whipple said:

“She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body. It is hard to imagine. … I still have a hard time imagining it myself.”

Whipple said the county attorney will determine whether any charges should be filed against her boyfriend, Kory McFarren. McFarren said:

“She is an adult; she made her own decision. I should have gotten help for her sooner; I admit that. But after a while, you kind of get used to it.”

He sounds like a winner, doesn’t he? They should do a psychiatric evaluation on him too. How does one not call for help of someone refuses to leave the bathroom after a few days, let alone 2 years? If someone refused to leave my bathroom for half a day, I might go ballistic and call the cops. The news stories keep getting more bizarre by the minute eh?
