Duran Duran Embarrass Themselves on Opening Night
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comDuran Duran reportedly disappointed their fans on the opening night of their world tour when singer Simon Le Bon repeatedly forgot the lyrics to their hits. Their first show was on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in Aukland, New Zealand, but their performance left a lot to be desired.
John Taylor was said to have stormed off the stage when Le Bon forgot the words to “Hungry Like a Wolf.” Taylor returned later and allegedly shouted to his bandmates:
“I could not dance to that. These people came here to dance.”
Le Bon joked:
“Duran Duran, f**king up in style.”
Perhaps they should just call it quits and remember the good old days of when they were hot. So sad…

Maybe Simon went for a ‘bush walk’ earlier that day. He could have got the munchies when he sang the word hungry, and started thinking about chocolate instead…
