American Idol 7 Elimination Results for March 26, 2008

Today’s bottom 3 results weren’t too surprising even if my predictions were a little off. They were as follows:

  • Chikezie Ezie - no surprise because he chose to do a boring ballad that many people find too old-fashioned.
  • Syesha Mercado - I thought she sang beautifully last night but I guess a lot of people didn’t connect with the song. Too bad though because she certainly didn’t deserve to be in the bottom 3 this week.
  • Jason Castro - he wasn’t too much of a shocker since he didn’t do anything interesting with his song and his playing was on the sloppy side.

I really do believe that David Archuleta and Ramiele Malubay deserved to be in the bottom 3 instead of Syesha and Jason. I would have loved it if Kristy Lee Cook would’ve been there, but I just had a feeling she would escape the bottom 3 this time with that patriotic song. What a smart bitch eh?

Tonight they had Kimberly Locke, a contestant from Season 2 perform. Yuck! Prior to this, I had never heard of her because I didn’t watch the first two seasons of Idol, but I’m guessing I didn’t miss too much. I know she said she lost a bunch of weight recently, but she was bursting out of that dress (on top) - what a bad choice to show off her new figure. That song she sang was really boring on top of that, but hey, at least she has opened up a restaurant recently and if the music thing doesn’t work out, she’s at least making money anyway.

Okay, back to the elimination results - tonight’s American Idol reject was…

Sad eh? I think Chikezie should be proud of himself for getting this far. He has a great voice and seems to have a great personality.
