Jessica Alba Will Speak Only Spanish to her Baby

Her father only spoke English to her and her brother because he wanted them to grow up speaking English very well. She told Latina magazine:
“I wish to God that my dad spoke Spanish to my brother and me, but he didn’t grow up with it”.
Alba is now committed to mastering Spanish so she can speak the language to her baby.
She added:
“Hopefully I can pick it up because I want my kids to speak Spanish. I don’t even want them to speak English for maybe the first two to three years, until pre-school. We’re in the United States so they’re going to learn it anyway”.
Alba says she was criticized for not being able to speak Spanish by other Latinos when she became a celebrity. While I think that’s really great that she is now trying to embrace her Latino culture, she doesn’t have to go to the extreme of only speaking Spanish. Jessica can teach her baby English and Spanish at the same time because children can learn languages simultaneously. It’s easier to do when children are young and since she already speaks English, it should be natural for her to want to speak English to her baby.

well that makes me hate her a little bit less, i got so mad when i read that interview of her saying she wasn’t a latina because she was born in the usa but hopefully this story’s true.
