American Idol Top 10 Girls Review and Prediction

Last night, I wrote a review of the American Idol Top 10 Guys saying that I was overall pretty disappointed, but they performed many times better than the Top 10 Girls. It was verging on torture to listen to some of them! I won’t even go through everyone’s performances because it was THAT bad. I’ll just mention the highlights and my prediction for the boot so if you want to look at last week’s review to see all of their names, you can go here but subtract the two booted (Amy Davis and Joanne Borgella).
The only performance that I really enjoyed was by Brooke White. I take back what I said about her last week. I had said that she reminded me of Carly Simon minus the vocals, but tonight she sang Carly’s “You’re So Vain” and did a great job with the song. I was pleasantly surprised by her and glad she’s still in the competition.
Amanda Overmyer, the rocker nurse, sucked tonight. When she opened up with the song, I was so hopeful but then some of the notes started to sound weird and then it got even worse. It was awful and I felt bad for her.
For most of the girls, they just picked the wrong songs and nothing stood out. The half-way decent performances were by Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado, but not what I would say I’d like to see again. I was hopeful for Ramiele Malubay, but as soon as I heard the first two notes of that song, I was thinking:
“BAD CHOICE! YUCK!”
My fave tonight (and yes, the only one): Brooke White
My prediction for the two getting the boot: Kady Malloy (the Britney Spears impersonator) and Asia’h Epperson (which is sad because she was sick this week)
What’s also kinda sad is that the most enjoyable moment about tonight’s show as when Simon gave feedback to Asia’h and made a jab at Ryan’s job on the red carpet. He said something like:
“You have to know your limitations like Ryan on the red carpet.”
I thought that was funny because Ryan obviously doesn’t know his limitations!

1 babblicious comments:
The girls show wasn’t as good at the guys night. As we found out Alexandrea Lushington, Alaina Whitaker, Robbie Carrico and Jason Yeager were voted off.
Was tough to watch Alaina Struggle with here emotions when hearing her news.
