Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist MySpace Lingerie Picture
Carmen Kontur-Gronquist, the mayor of Arlingron, Oregon, posted on her MySpace page the above picture of hers where she’s only wearing a black bra and panties. The picture was taken while the mayor was on one of the town’s fire engines. Seems like the residents of Arlington are not quiet happy about it. The mayor has now blocked her MySpace page only to her friends and said that she has done nothing wrong.
From what I can tell, she probably done a lot for Arlington, Oregon, before the racy pictures, not many people have heard of the small town and now this town is definitely on the map!

Why do people automatically believe that its the work of the “right-wing whack-o nut-jobs” that are the ones attacking her. I am very conservative and I see no problem with the pictures, First, they were taken before she was mayor, and second they are no more revealing than a bikini that is worn on public beaches.

It amazes me that the true issue is skirted here. She is an elected offical and it is her prerogative if she wants to post pitures of herself in this manner, but it is the voters prerogative if they want to re-elect her. The pictures were taken before she was in office, but she was aware they were there and choose not to remove them. The relative that posted them was supposedly doing this to help her social life. If she is only wanting a one night, stand like someone here offered then she hit her target. I believe that there are decency laws in most states and being “sworn in” means you agree to uphold these laws.
