Dr. Phil Show Goes Off The Air?
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comIt seems like the cold shoulder that Dr. Phil is getting from many celebrities because of his controversial visit to Britney Spears when she was hospitalized was only the beginning. He is now being sued by another psychologist who claims that the TV doctor was illegally practicing Psychology without a license when he paid a visit to Britney Spears. The psychologist has also started a petition to remove the “Dr. Phil” show from the air.
I guess he deserves it. He was trying to cash on Britney’s condition and he should pay for that!

Now you’re talking, Gabby. He is a sociopath. There are arrogant narcissistic amoral anti-socials like that who march in and practice SURGERY they’re not qualified to perform to reap the benefits as well as the aggrandizing feeling of power that they need like a vampire or an addict.
In this case it is particularly disturbing because he was not only not her physician, and did not have professional privileges at Cedars Sinai; he planned to turn things into a TV circus for his benefit, while pretending to be a healer and a saint. It is just nauseating. It makes my skin crawl.
There are ethical laws and standards in the practice of medicine and therapy. Britney may have many problems, but she knew what she was seeing, a perverted abuser of the healing code and she walked.
His show should be canceled. It goes against the grain of the privacy needed for grief and psychological healing. What he did was in violation of doctor patient privacy laws. This is serious. I have always thought he was a phony, but marching into a hospital when someone (Anyone, thank you very much.) was in the endangered and vulnerable state B. Spears was is nothing short of predatory.
Just because someone has ‘Dr.’ in front of their name does not mean they are not a narcissistic sociopath who would grind a person into chum in order to get his ego needs met.
Such people in medicine, counseling, or any other important area of trust are very dangerous. One must be careful about who one gives one’s trust to, not just hear a title and surrender. There is an important lesson in this.
BTW. There is no psychological help for people with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) or Anti-social personality disorder (sociopathy/pscychopathy). If anything, studies have shown that knowledge of psychology only makes them better psychopaths, con men, etc.
However, we can educate ourselves to how these intra-species predators operate, what makes us attractive to them, and learn to be aware when one has put us on tractor beam.
And we can take the spurious ‘Dr Phil’ off the air.
why are some tv stations still showing
the so called dr phil show. it does not
take a very smart person to see that he
is a total phoney.
