Dave Grohl Faults the Spears Family
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comDave Grohl, frontman for the Foo Fighters, reportedly blames the Spears family for the trouble Britney is going through, because Brit’s parents failed to teach her how to deal with fame and temptation. Grohl believes that his “good foundations” saved him when he became famous at age 21 while in Nirvana. Grohl explained:
“Fame will f**k with your head, and if you don’t have a solid foundation, you get swept away in it. When Nirvana became famous, I was only 21, but I had a good foundation. Whenever s**t got too crazy, I’d go back to Virginia and spend time with the people who loved me the most, and it kept me from getting dragged under.”
Unfortunately, Britney’s lil sis Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy at age 16 is yet another example of a lack of a solid foundation. Kids need stability, consistency, and limitations set for them especially while going through adolescence. With the added pressure from being in the public eye, it must be tougher to parent famous children, however, they still have the same needs as any other kid. I really feel for Jamie Lynn right now and hope that we won’t be seeing an increase in teen pregnancy.
