Dancing Paid off for Marie Osmond
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comIt doesn’t really matter that Marie Osmond didn’t win (and shouldn’t have anyway) Dancing with the Stars because her time on the show really paid off for her. Marie is being given her own talk show which will debut in 2008. The director and producer Ron Scott said:
“Marie makes the perfect talk show hostess because people feel like they can relate to her. She has experienced her own share of ups and downs and hopes to inspire viewers.”
The new show will feature celebrity interviews and we won’t be too shocked when we see brother Donny visiting the show eh? Maybe he should have a permanent spot in the audience like Dr. Phil’s wife and Ellen Degeneres’ mom.
The siblings actually had a talk show together in 1998 which started out okay, but was a bit on the boring side so I wasn’t too surprised when it was dumped. I wonder if Marie will sing and dance on the show as well…probably eh? Let’s just hope she doesn’t do that crazy doll routine from DWTS , but the fainting spell was rather interesting.
