David Beckham Won’t Retire
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comDavid Beckham reportedly spoke to The Sunday Mirror, before the outcome of the Israel v Russsia game last night and re-affirmed his commitment to playing for England as long as he possibly can. He said:
“I want to play in the next World Cup. That is a big goal for me and an enormous challenge, I believe I can do it. I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it.”
“Contrary to some people’s claims, I didn’t leave European football too early, I am still playing well and at a good standard. That’s why I’m optimistic I can play in the 2010 World Cup.”
“I won’t retire. I will always make myself available for my country. That hasn’t changed. I would rather be stuck on 99 caps and England qualify, than win 100 caps and we don’t make it.”
Well even though Becks hasn’t played as much as everyone anticipated, his star-power still sells tickets eh? I hope to watch him play at the World Cup.

I think David and Victoria are such a gorgeous couple, but everybody have to agree that their behavior is not a good example for their kids nor anybody else. Have you seen this news reporting that David was accused for snubbing child cancer survivors? http://www.weshow.com/us/p/24811/david_beckham_accused_of_snub_kids_with_cancer He defends himself saying that he haven’t seen them… I don’t know… what do you think?
