Britney Spears’ lawyer has reportedly pleaded with a court commissioner to prevent L.A. County authorities from viewing court filings regarding the custody battle between Britney and Kevin Federline. Brit’s attorney, Thomas Paine Dunlap, pointed out that the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services is a “large bureaucracy with thousands of employees” where sensitive information about the case is not safe. However, the department is currently investigating Brit’s parenting skills.

The lawyer for K-Fed, Mark Vincent Kaplan, also requested that the court consider only releasing “relevant” files. The decision by Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon was not disclosed though. The battling exes will be back in court on January 23rd.

While Britney’s lawyers have been busy at two courthouses on Monday with regards to her driving violations as well as custody issues, Brit-Brit is spending time to get ready for her new video. According to Usmagazine.com, Brit’s new video for “Piece of Me” is set to start production on Tuesday. A source to Us claims that Brit and her dancers will enter a club in matching wigs and trench coats so Brit can sneak in.

Is Brit trying to lay low these days? Let’s hope so! Things might start to look up for her if she can hide out for a while.
