UPDATE: Reports are saying that Disney has not actually decided to drop Vanessa Hudgens (yet at least).

Earlier, we reported the following, but who knows what to believe anymore about this.

According to OK! magazine, Disney has decided that Vanessa Hudgens will not be asked to be part of the High School Musical 3 movie. An insider revealed:

“Disney finally decided that they don’t want her back. They feel that as long as Zac Efron is in the movie, all will be fine. He’s the real star – the household name – and, most importantly, he comes without baggage.”

The question now is who will be her replacement. The possibilities are Adrienne Baillon or Sabrina Bryan (from the Cheeta Girls). The insider explained:

“The producers think that after Dancing With the Stars, Sabrina will be more famous than Vanessa.”

When Adrienne was asked about this, she played coy:

“I love working with Disney. I’m trying to convince Disney to let the whole Disney circle of stars in. I’m just trying to convince Disney to let your Zac and Codys and your Brenda Strongs join High School Musical. We all come in and invade their high school; that would be pretty hot. Put us all together in a feature film!”

Aw, poor Vanessa. It turns out she didn’t get the $1 million contract with Skechers either according to Just Jared. When it rains it pours.
