Paula Abdul Slams American Idol?
I’m not sure if Paula Abdul purposely slammed American Idol, but she says she would never have appeared on a talent show to launch her career. She said:
“I don’t know that I’d have it in me to put myself out there like that. It’s excruciating, soul destroying. Celebrities comes up to me and say: ‘Thank God I’ve made it. I’d hate to have come up through the ranks of the X Factor or American Idol’.”
I guess she’s trying to make the case to say that it’s not easy to go through what the contestants do, however, I’m not sure that calling the show’s competition “soul destroying” is going to make the Idol bosses too happy. Yikes.
