Clay Aiken Bound for Broadway

According to Playbill, former American Idol contestant, Clay Aiken, will be joining the Broadway cast of the Tony Award-winning musical Monty Python’s Spamalot in the role of Sir Robin.
He is scheduled to join the cast on January 18, 2008 through May 4, 2008.
Spamalot director said:
“Clay Aiken is amazing beyond that glorious voice. Turns out he is an excellent comic actor and a master of character. People will be surprised by his wide ranging talent, since the first impression is of great country charm and a singer to remember. This guy is not only a star, he is a lot more. We are lucky to get him for Spamalot.”
I hope that all the Claymates will not get too upset when I say that I’m glad that I went to see Spamalot last year, before Clay joined the cast. I just don’t like his voice. In fact, his voice actually annoys me.

Woop De Doo. You managed to get a dig in at Clay Aiken. OMG you’re cool now . Not.
Now I understand why you’re called Gabby BABBLE! What utter nonsense!
Clay has an incredibly beautiful voice. You’re joining up with the jealous haters and paid character assasins in their smear campaign? You should be ashamed of yourself!
Gabby, I think you’ll change your mind if you take a look at this montage:

Oh, I understand. I personally think his speaking voice is fine, and his singing voice is tremendous, I can see where someone could be annoyed by either. Not everyone has to like everyone. The secret is to not be juvenile about it. I think you did fine in your statement…don’t let the overprotective bug you nor the pretend overprotective (there are those as well, the shit stirrers).
Anyway, I think he’ll be great as he’s really kinda bawdy and funny in performance and the role isn’t big voice singing anyway.
Cool blog, by the way.
That’s okay. You annoy me, too. You just do.

I agree with you. There is just something in his voice that annoys me too. Not at all saying he can’t sing, just not the kind of voice I could listen to for long.
And before I get slammed with the you should watch this video or see him in concert before you make a judement. I have and I won’t do it again.
