Mel B’s Mom Thinks the Marriage is a Scary Mistake!
Melanie Brown’s mother, Andrea Brown says her secret marriage to Stephen Belafonte is a big mistake. She’s scared that Mel B is suffering from post-natal depression and was shocked to find out they got married. Andrea says:
“Melanie’s not the sort to be taken in by anyone, but her hormones were all over the place after the baby. Maybe Stephen came along at just the right time and said all the right things. I need to speak to her, but she won’t answer my calls because she knows what I’m going to say.”
Last week, news of Stephen Belafonte’s past as a convicted wife beater emerged. Belafonte admitted to attacking Nicole Contreras, the mother of his child, at her Beverly Hills home in May 2003 but didn’t serve jail as he was given probation. It’s not a good sign to be isolating herself from her mother and that she kept her marriage a secret. I hope she’s going to be okay. Mel B seems like such a nice person.
