The “Queen of Mean” Leona Helmsley remained true to her nickname even in death when she she decided to leave Trouble, her dog with $12 million but cut out two of her four grandchildren entirely.
Helmsley’s dog Trouble, a white Maltese, will be cared for by Helmsley’s brother Alvin Rosenthal, who was left $10 million. The two grandchildren who stayed in her good graces, David and Walter Panzirer, will be left $5 million each with the understanding that it is as long as they visit their father’s grave at least once a year (Helmsley’s son, Jay Panzirer had died in 1982). Her chauffeur will receive $100,000. Helmsley wrote with regards to the other two grandchildren:
“I have not made any provisions in this will for my grandson Craig Panzirer or my granddaughter Meegan Panzirer for reasons which are known to them.”
I guess it sucks to be them eh? And that little Trouble is quite a rich bitch!
