Becks Is Going Back to School?
David Beckham is reportedly returning to college to lecture students at a global seminar on the role of sports in diplomacy. Becks will speak to students at the University of Southern California (USC). USC Professor Nicholas Cull said:
“David Beckham is already part of the masters course taught here, as an example of the influence of athletes, so I am hoping that he will be able to address us at that seminar. People who don’t follow football (soccer) don’t appreciate what a globally significant figure David Beckham is even now with his career in transition.”
I bet there are still quite a few Americans who really don’t know much about Becks because there are many who don’t have an interest in soccer yet.
