Jessica Alba is Pretty…

Jessica Alba shared some of her views in Parade magazine:
On the paparazzi: “I could give two sh-ts about them. They’re so lame, I can’t even believe that’s a real job. I can’t imagine they even pay taxes.” On being a sex symbol: “I don’t really pay attention to all that. It’s only when people start to treat me like one that it really freaks me out. Most days I wake up and look in the mirror and go, ‘ugh.’ I don’t really think I look all that great.”
On her night life:
“Sometimes I like to go out, but usually after work I just go home, take a bath, watch movies. Instead of going out, I’d rather have my friends over and play games at my house—stupid games like charades or Pictionary or Monopoly. Or maybe Between the Sheets—it’s an easy way to win your money back when you’ve lost it all in poker.”
On working in the movie biz:
“I’m in a business that’s completely driven by white males. The majority of the writers and directors are men…And even though I’m not, like, such a huge feminist, I do want to produce movies on my own that are female-driven and empowering to women. The woman’s voice really isn’t present in Hollywood.”
I have a difficult time believing she wakes up and says “ugh” when she looks into a mirror. Let’s face it, if she didn’t look the way she does, she wouldn’t have any work as an actress (if we can call it that). From this interview, she comes across pretty dumb & boring, but at least she tried to be funny & insightful. It’s too bad that she probably doesn’t even know what she’s talking about when she mentioned the business being completely driven by white males, even though it’s true. She’s still young though…still enough time to learn rather than just repeat what people might’ve told her.
